Sleep Scientist – Respiratory and Sleep Medicine - Canberra ACT
* Pay: $88,252 - $105,569 (Plus 11.5% Super) | Health Professional Level 2
* Location: The Canberra Hospital, Garran
* Contract: Full Time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity exists for a Sleep Scientist to join a leading Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department of a Government Health Service in Canberra, providing high-quality sleep disorder assessments and management. This role involves conducting routine and complex polysomnography, positive airway pressure therapy management, and contributing to research, training, and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform polysomnography and sleep studies for adult patients.
* Manage positive airway pressure therapy initiation and follow-up.
* Provide clinical supervision and education to staff and students.
* Support quality improvement and research projects to enhance patient care.
What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
* Minimum 12 months experience in polysomnography and airway pressure titration
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
* Accreditation with ACCP (desirable)
