About the role

* The City of Kalgoorlie‑Boulder is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Information Management Officer (Records) to join our Corporate & Commercial Directorate on a fixed‑term contract until 15 March 2027.
* This role plays an important part in supporting the City's compliance, accountability and service delivery by ensuring corporate records are managed accurately, securely and in line with legislative requirements.
* In this role you will:
* Deliver professional and efficient records management services across the organisation.
* Appraise, capture, store and dispose of corporate records in accordance with the State Records Act 2000 (WA) and City policies.
* Provide training, guidance and support to staff on the City's Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
* Assist with Freedom of Information (FOI) processing and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure confidentiality, compliance and strong information governance practices are consistently maintained.


About you

You are organised, proactive and take pride in accuracy and compliance. You enjoy supporting others, can manage competing priorities and understand the importance of good recordkeeping in a public sector environment.


You will bring

* Experience working with an EDRMS.
* Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
* High‑level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* A current National Police Clearance and WA 'C' Class driver's licence are required.
* Tertiary qualifications in information or records management (or a related discipline) and local government experience will be well regarded.
