As a Graduate Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting clients on their journey to return to work and regain their life after physical or psychological injury.
The two-year Graduate Program will provide you with a comprehensive knowledge base through fortnightly technical training, accelerating your career. You will also receive one-on-one mentorship from a senior clinician, ensuring you have the necessary support as you learn.
A Day in the Life at APM Workcare...
* Conduct initial assessments, psychometric testing, and brief interventions for job seekers facing psychosocial and mental health barriers to employment
* Perform new employment vocational assessments, transferable skills analysis, and recovery support
* Assess and report on the effects of mental health and medical conditions on an individual's ability to work
* Write detailed case notes and reports
* Collaborate with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical, and return-to-work goals
* Provide adjustment to injury counselling and vocational counselling in-person and via phone to facilitate clients' rehabilitation
* Work with adult clients from diverse socioeconomic, educational, psychosocial, and nationality backgrounds

The Essentials...
* Hold a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling
* Be eligible for ASORC or RCAA accreditation upon graduating
* Have graduated in the last 12 months or be graduating in 2025
* Agree to a pre-employment national criminal check prior to employment
* Hold full Australian working rights
* Hold a full driver's license, own a vehicle, and maintain comprehensive insurance
