Job Description
Zerella Fresh is one of Australia's largest grower and packers of carrots, onions and potatoes supplying Australia's leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated cold store operators to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Virginia site in South Australia.
As a valuable member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our operations.
We are looking for reliable, energetic, and passionate individuals who are self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You will report directly to the Facility Supervisor and work in a packing facility environment.
An attractive remuneration package between $68,000 – $80,000 per year is available to the right candidates.
Duties include:
Responsibilities
Operate controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in the cold storage area, stacking products with appropriate pallet spacing and labelling.
Safely and efficiently operate forklift to manage stock in the cold storage area to ensure redundant stock is minimised.
Complete daily stock rotations and stocktake within the cold storage area.
Pick products from the cold storage area according to specifications.
Ensure goods are labelled, packed and stored in correct cold storage areas so that they can be easily located for dispatch.
Ensure customer orders are packed in compliance with specifications and delivery requirements.
Transport goods to designated areas within the cold storage area according to requirements.
Complete daily/weekly start-up checklist and report deficiencies to supervisors or the maintenance department in a timely manner.
Operate forklifts which run on rails or use electronic guidance systems to control movements in narrow cold storage areas.
Ensure compliance with different stacking requirements for each SKU, customer and transport.
Ensure all bins and crates are wrapped and labelled correctly before transporting.
Maintain accurate records of movements of supplies, materials and products.
Label and store produce in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Ensure paperwork is completed, verified, and signed before submitting.
Monitor equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerised monitoring equipment.
All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Unrestricted Class C driver's licence (essential).
High-risk work licence (essential).
Relevant Certificate II plus one year of experience or 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe and controlled manner.
Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
A willingness to be hands-on and participate in a broad range of duties; a strong work ethic is essential.
