About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administration Officer to join a busy Legal Services team within a large, community-focused organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised professional to contribute to the smooth delivery of legal and governance services through high-quality administrative support.
This is a full-time temporary opportunity commencing immediately, initially offered for a period of four months.
About the Role
Reporting to the Legal Services Manager, you will provide essential administrative, financial, and operational support to a professional legal team. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver efficient administrative support including document and records management, file maintenance, and report preparation
* Maintain legal records (digital and hardcopy), including archiving and document registration
* Provide financial and procurement support including purchase orders, invoices, and transaction processing
* Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and events (including logistics such as bookings, catering, and materials)
* Support legal processes including preparation of briefs, court documentation, and lodgements
* Assist with litigation and prosecution administration, including scheduling, tracking matters, and maintaining registers
* Respond to internal and external enquiries and assist with research tasks
* Provide backup support to senior administrative and paralegal roles as required
