The disability support worker is responsible for implementing, training, and support services and maximising people's living, employment, social, and recreational skills with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through support, focusing on individual needs.
We need Female Support Workers.
Selection Criteria
* Must be committed to promoting empowerment, respect, dignity and inclusion when supporting participating and carers.
* Positive communication skills with developed interpersonal skills.
* Must have high level of spoken English with understanding of local sayings and references.
* Driving's license, car and comprehensive car insurance.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* First Aid & CPR.
* National Police Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
* Current Worker NDIS Induction Module.
* Minimum Certificate III in Disability Studies or related fields (desirable).
* Demonstrated ability and skill to use person-centred care.
* Possess well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively as a team member.
* Must be available to start early mornings around 7.30am.
