Participate in, manage and lead specialist clinical pharmacy services within Women, Newborn and Children’s Services, within an evidence based, quality and multidisciplinary health care environment whilst providing services across multiple specialties and facilities within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist – Senior (Women, Newborn and Children's Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Deliver high level clinical review services as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver high level clinical pharmacy services
* Implement appropriate liaison systems to ensure continuity of care upon admission and discharge
* Develop and deliver specialist presentations and educational materials for pharmacists and other health professionals
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
* AHPRA Registration
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary part time (up to 12 months with possibility of extension, 30.4 hrs p.f.)
* Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.56 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and
Health Service (GCHHS), through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
