Job Title: Physical Geography Researcher
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team in the field of physical geography. The successful candidate will conduct research in coastal to deep ocean systems, focusing on key areas such as water column composition and motion, coastal processes, ice dynamics, cryosphere-ocean interactions, geospatial tools, and environmental change analysis.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing research projects to advance our understanding of oceanographic phenomena.
* Collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Developing and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physical geography and related disciplines.
* Mentoring students and providing guidance on research projects.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a PhD in physical geography or a related field, or relevant work experience in a related field. They should also demonstrate a strong track record of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Applicants with expertise in biophysical coupling, ocean-atmosphere interactions, and sediment transport are particularly encouraged to apply.
