About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our dynamic team at SA Eye Specialists Pty Ltd in Woodville South, SA. This is a part-time role (3-4 days per week) with an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our eye care practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience.

What you'll be doing

* Welcoming patients to our practice, recording important demographic and medical information correctly
* Effectively booking patient appointments face-to-face or over the phone.
* Accurately receiving payments, issuing receipts, completing all billing and invoicing patients.
* Managing patient inquiries
* Communicating with Medicare and Health Funds to finalise patient payments
* Assisting in minor medical procedures
* Conducting visual examinations and ophthalmic scans
* Surgical bookings and operating our patient management system (Clini2Cloud), including but not limited to bookings, data entry, and patient registration.
* Assisting with any back-office activities as required, such as, outbound calls, data entry and reporting as delegated by your manager.
* Solely opening and closing the practice from time to time ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their practice journey

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a similar receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting
2. Any amount of previous receptionist or customer service experience is acceptable for this position
3. Must have Australian work rights or valid work visa to be eligible for this position
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers in a professional and courteous manner
5. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
6. Proficient in using computer software, including scheduling and patient management systems
7. Basic computer skills are required for operating scheduling and patient management systems
8. A friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to customer service
9. A desire to contribute to the overall success and growth of the practice
