**Job Title:** Space Networks Support Officer
Overview
The role of the Space Networks Support Officer is crucial in ensuring the provision of reliable satellite data critical to numerical weather prediction, forecasting, and warning services.
This position supports the Space Network Manager in effective lifecycle management of the Bureau's integrated Satellite and Space Weather Networks, including satellite ground stations and terrestrial space weather observation instruments located across Australia, Antarctica, and the Pacific region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and reporting on asset performance, improving asset information in the Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS), lifecycle and configuration management, and project support activities.
Additionally, this role provides technical support, including maintenance and repair activities, as well as documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Asset Performance Analysis: Analyze and report on the performance of assets within the network, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for optimization.
* Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with the Space Network Manager to develop and implement lifecycle plans for satellite ground stations and terrestrial space weather observation instruments.
* Configuration Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration information for all network components, maintaining compliance with EAMS standards.
* Project Support: Provide administrative support to project teams, facilitating the delivery of projects and programs.
Requirements:
