About the role
As part of the Enterprise Sustainability team within Perpetual's Chief Risk Office, the Sustainability Manager supports the development and delivery of Perpetual's sustainability strategy and plays a key role in executing the Group's climate roadmap. This role is responsible for delivering climate‐related programs, reporting and disclosures, while strengthening understanding of climate risk and opportunity across the organisation. You will lead climate scenario analysis, emissions reporting, and regulatory disclosures, while driving engagement through clear communication, education and strong stakeholder partnership. Success in this role requires strong technical capability, sound judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively across business lines, senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development and delivery of Perpetual's enterprise sustainability strategy, reporting and performance monitoring
* Lead climate‐related reporting and disclosures, including AASB S2 reporting, external assurance and transition planning
* Coordinate climate scenario analysis and emissions reporting across individual entities and at Group level
* Partner with the business to develop frameworks, targets and KPIs focused on environmental performance and carbon reduction
* Advise senior stakeholders on climate‐related risks, opportunities, regulatory requirements and emerging trends
* Develop sustainability‐related policies, positions and clear, compelling communication materials for diverse audiences
About you
We're looking for someone with:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in sustainability or climate risk‐related roles, ideally within financial services or a listed organisation
* Strong knowledge of climate‐related legislation, regulatory disclosure requirements and emerging sustainability standards
* Demonstrated experience delivering climate data analysis, reporting and scenario modelling
* Proven capability advising and influencing senior leadership and governance forums
* Strong written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information clearly
* A high level of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes
