NDIS Support Worker
Work with participants to achieve positive outcomes such as employability skills, social skills, independence, personal development, improved quality of life and enjoyment
Provide support to participants with high support needs (behavioural)
Provide flexible delivery online, face to face, and facilitate small groups in activities
Provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
Be flexible and available to work across different programs to meet varying program needs
Assist clients to understand their employment related duties and improve efficiencies
Communicate effectively to advocate for CBS Inc. and your clients in their workplace
Build positive relationships with client's employer, team members and stakeholders
Use initiative and problem-solving skills to assist clients to maintain their employment
Administration and basic computer skills to accurately record case notes
Collaborate with and support client's case managers
Willingness to use personal vehicle for 1:1 support transportation (to and from work as required)
Recreation Support Worker
A requirement of this role is to facilitate and support clients with personal care.
Personal care relates to assistance with daily personal activities including personal hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management, eating, drinking and mobility.
Provide behavioural support to participants with complex needs and ensure effective documentation to engage with participants' clinical support networks.
Providing group-based activities and one-on-one supports to participants
Working within the legislative requirements of the NDIS including restrictive practices and reportable incidents
Willingness to use personal vehicle for 1:1 program support transportation.
Empowering participants to make their own choices and grow their independence
Admin, data entry, and accurate recording of participant case notes.
Position Requirements
Current Full Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Meet the current COVID-19 Vaccine requirement – medical exemption acceptable (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant NDIS / DHS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Current Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to use personal vehicle for 1:1 support transportation (desirable)
Experience with SupportAbility (Desirable)
