OZ Dance Centre is one of the largest providers of Dance & Choreography programs across New South Wales. OZ Dance Centre aims to cultivate dance professionals, and is committed to popularizing dance culture, so that more people can understand dance, love dance, experience happiness and reap benefits.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Teaching weekly dance classes in a manner that expands student's skills and is enjoyable
- Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level
- Choosing music and choreographing dances appropriate to the student's abilities and age yet expanding their abilities
- Organising costumes and yearly concerts, arranging visits and tours to professional exhibitions and performances
- Preparing examinations, performance and assessments for students
- Professional presentation, ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students
- Able to set and distinguish ordinary members and chief members for sole dance
- Planning dance teaching programs for individual and group students
- Able to arrange choreography for the company throughout the year, when required
- Participate in dance costume design
- Educate students about the background of each dance form that they are learning, by providing them with historical and cultural references
- Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
**Skills and Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in dance or Arts from an accredited college
- Previous Bellydance experience is essential
- At lease two (2) years Bellydance teaching experience is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic, driven, creative and dependable
- Demonstrate patience and leadership skills
- COVID-19 vaccination status available
**Salary**: $60,000.00 per year
