Research & Development Tax Incentive Analyst

We are seeking an R&D Tax Incentive Analyst to join our North Sydney team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills who enjoys blending technical analysis with client engagement. You'll support R&D Tax Incentive applications and contribute to financial reporting, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance and maximise funding opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse client operations to identify eligible core and supporting R&D activities.
Review experimental methodologies, hypotheses, and outcomes to assess eligibility.
Draft technical descriptions and consolidate supporting documentation for AusIndustry applications.
Assist in preparing R&D expenditure schedules and financial summaries for ATO RDTI Schedules.
Collaborate with operations, technical, and financial teams to compile substantiating evidence.
Stay up to date with R&DTI legislation, guidance materials, and compliance requirements.
About You
Tertiary qualification in accounting, science, engineering, technology, or law.
Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear documentation.
Ability to calculate and substantiate eligible R&D expenditure and prepare R&D expenditure schedules.
Familiarity with the R&DTI program or similar government grants is highly desirable.
Experience in consulting, tax advisory, or technical writing is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and client-facing professionalism.
