We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager to support current and upcoming Defence programs across the capability lifecycle in Brisbane or Canberra.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of integrated solutions across critical Defence projects, ensuring data is effectively managed, governed, and leveraged to support performance, compliance, and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Data Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 3-5 years' experience in data management within Defence or a highly regulated technical environment.
They will possess a sound understanding of Defence data standards and artefacts, as well as proficient skills in data governance, lifecycle management, and configuration control.
Additionally, they will have experience using document and data management systems, strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and written communication abilities.
Australian Citizenship is required to meet security clearance requirements, with NV1 security clearance (or eligibility to obtain) being highly desirable.
As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective data management frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with Defence and Commonwealth standards.
You will ensure data integrity, accuracy, and traceability across technical, engineering, and logistics domains, manage structured and unstructured data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise data governance and utilisation.
You will also support the establishment and maintenance of secure, accessible data repositories with appropriate metadata, version control, and access protocols, and contribute to the development of Data Management Plans (DMPs).
