As a Rope Access Technician at Awkward Access, you will be responsible for performing a range of height-based tasks including inspection, maintenance, and repair works using rope access systems. This position requires strong technical capability, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively at heights. Responsibilities and Tasks: Performing rope access work on residential and commercial buildings, including façade maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Setting up, inspecting, and maintaining rope access systems, anchorage points, and safety equipment in accordance with industry standards. Conducting building inspections at height to identify defects, damage, or maintenance requirements. Carrying out remedial works such as sealing, waterproofing, cleaning, and minor repairs on building exteriors. Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with Australian Standards, IRATA guidelines, and workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations. Collaborating with supervisors and team members to plan and execute rope access operations efficiently. Preparing work areas and ensuring safe access and exclusion zones are maintained at all times. Maintaining accurate job records, safety reports, and inspection documentation. Identifying potential hazards and implementing risk control measures prior to and during rope access activities. Assisting in the maintenance and storage of rope access equipment to ensure safety and longevity. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Rope Access Technician Strong knowledge of rope access systems, safety procedures, and equipment. Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
