Our organization is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in transforming insight delivery and modernizing data platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in cloud architecture, data engineering, and business intelligence. They will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation, and accelerator development.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in end-to-end data migration projects from Qlik or Tableau to Microsoft Fabric.
* Reverse-engineer existing reports, dashboards, and semantic layers to extract and validate business logic, calculated metrics, and model structures.
* Design and implement equivalent Power BI models and reports within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring functionality, performance, and usability.
* Support back-end migrations when needed, working alongside data engineers to move source systems (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, and others) to Fabric Warehouse or Lakehouse.
* Collaborate with the Practice Lead and project delivery team to define solution architecture, tasks, effort estimates, and delivery plans.
* Contribute to the development and reuse of migration frameworks and accelerators.
* Document and maintain repeatable processes and migration checklists.
About You
* 5+ years in data analytics roles, ideally in a consulting or client-facing environment.
* Experience working with Qlik (QlikView/Qlik Sense), Tableau or other non-Microsoft BI platforms in development or migration projects.
* Hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (including Lakehouse/Medallion Architecture, Warehouse, DirectLake, Dataflows and Semantic Models).
* Familiarity with data modelling (Kimball), DAX, and SQL and M Query, and a strong grasp of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric performance optimisation.
* BASIC to intermediate level of Python development and CI/CD practices.
* Understanding of source system integration from SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
* Experience in data migration or platform modernisation is highly desirable.
