About the Role
Reporting to Peter Dimeck the General Manager, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive pricing across tenders and project-specific estimates. This role plays a key part in securing new work and supporting successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed tender submissions and project-specific estimates
* Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
* Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis
* Develop pricing strategies and cost plans
* Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
* Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients
* Maintain estimating databases and cost histories
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in civil construction estimating
* Experience in asphalt and/or civil works highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience preparing tenders and detailed estimates
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies & costs
* Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in estimating software & Excel
* Strong commercial and analytical skills
* Excellent communication & organisational abilities
Desirable
* Experience with RMS / TfNSW / local council projects
* Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes
* Engineering or construction-related qualification
