The role
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) within the Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Team (NMST) provides flexible clinical support across acute and non‐acute units within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. NMST ENs are primarily utilised to fill emergent leave through daily shift‐to‐shift allocations.
NMST ENs are supported through a collaborative model involving Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Services Clinical Nurses and local unit clinical leads.
Requirements
* Qualification: Diploma of Nursing or equivalent certification is mandatory.
* Highly Desired: Demonstrated ability to provide direct patient care within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice, with recent clinical experience within the past 12‐24 months.
* Shift Availability: Casual position; opportunities to work across a variety of 24/7 shift types.

* Salary range: $47.41 - $50.31 p.h. (casual rate) (NG3)

* Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person‐centred nursing care under the delegation of the registered nurse/midwife.

* Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
* Use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
