Key Responsibilities
* Overhauling and maintaining mining equipment, including magnetic drums, separators, conveyor pulleys, crushers, and gearboxes.
* Fitting of bearings, shafts, and couplings, ensuring correct alignment and clearance using precision instruments.
* Interpreting technical drawings and work instructions for equipment installation, upgrades, and repairs.
* Performing routine inspections and fault‐finding on fixed plant, including magnetic separation systems.
About You
* Experienced in maintenance on major plant equipment, including magnetic and mechanical separation units.
* Proficient in welding, grinding, and metal fabrication for component repair and modification.
* Knowledgeable in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic components used in separation systems.
* Safely operates overhead cranes and forklifts (forklift license preferred).
* Follows strict safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE, and hazard identification.
* Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities to meet compliance and auditing standards.
* Holds a trade certificate in a relevant mechanical trade.
