Job Opportunity: AOD Trainee
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of AOD trainee. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to individuals struggling with alcohol or other drug use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of support services to individuals seeking assistance with an alcohol or other drug use.
* Participate in a structured training program over 12 months to gain skills and knowledge to support qualification in AOD.
Requirements:
* A Certificate IV in AOD or currently completing a Certificate IV or Diploma AOD during traineeship is required.
* Demonstrate a developing understanding of the AOD treatment system, including where and why clients are at increased risk of overdose and other AOD-related harms.
* Showcase knowledge and understanding of harm reduction principles and strategies.
* Experience in related areas such as mental health, family violence, criminal justice, or homelessness is desirable.
