We currently have a rewarding opportunity to join us as a Commercial Support Officer within our Aircraft, Training and Sustainment line of business with our team based at Williamtown NSW. You will be supporting our Commercial Function working on Hawk, the world's most successful and proven military aircraft trainer, used to train Australia's frontline fighter pilots. **Your new role**:
Using your strong administration skills gained from previously working in either legal or commercial area's you will be providing support to the Commercial function with activities and services to meet business needs. This role reports into our Commercial Lead who is responsible for overseeing the Commercial strategy and management under the program.
More specifically, you will
- Assist with the management and administration of bids and contracts. Assist in the provision of commercial elements for the Life Cycle Management and Request for Bid Approval process
- Assist in the preparation of draft quotations and detailed Agreements including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contract Change Proposals, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Service Level Agreements etc. in accordance with policy and process
- Contribute to the development of commercial proposals for potential business and the commercial review of the full suite of proposal documents
- Support to Procurement and Supply Chain colleagues in the preparation of sub-contract terms and conditions as required by role
- Work with the internal legal team and external legal advisors as required to ensure all contracts have the necessary legal input and governance
- Draft basic contracts / agreements under supervision and contributes to the development of more complex contracts
- Have the ability to follow up activities to ensure inputs from others are received and progressed to conclusion
- Have a high degree of customer focus and a commitment to meet deadlines and targets
- Respond to the needs and wants of the customer by understanding their requirements, through researched understanding, open discussion and candid clarification questions
- Resolve customer queries and issues in areas of responsibility, escalating problems as appropriate
- Be able to work unsupervised and provide solutions for management consideration
- Provide advice on commercial policy to commercial and non-commercial staff making the case for the added value of these processes
- Understand the financial and basic pricing requirements of commercial contracts
- Support the Commercial Manager and other members of the team
- Maintain Commercial Management Plans

About you

**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Demonstrated experience in commercial or legal administration function
- Excellent attention to details with organization skills, together with a high degree of motivation, initiative and enthusiasm with a willingness to learn
- Analytical and numeracy skills and a demonstrated ability to identify "exception" detail in documents and numerical reports, and provide proposed corrections
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under your own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost
- A curious mind-set and ability to integrate and extract information
- Team orientation with a high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate with the Customer and staff at all levels and from a range of disciplines
- Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Suite along
- NV1 Security Clearance (Desirable)
