A growing Australian financial services firm, who recently went through an acquisition, has an exciting opportunity for a relationship manager in the Melbourne market. This role will foster and maintain long-term relationships with this firm's clients and ensure compliance obligations are met for each fund and financial product. You will have the opportunity to enhance client satisfaction, drive business growth and ensure clients' needs and objectives are met by developing a comprehensive understanding of their individual circumstances and requirements.
Responsibilities
Client and Service Provider Relationships
- Proactively communicate with clients and services providers on a regular basis to maintain effective strong relationships and continually assess growth opportunities.
- Strive to meet quarterly with clients face to face and conduct regular meetings with clients that have heavy operational needs and provide updates on their accounts.
- Understand, in detail, the client and our business when negotiating fund and transaction documents and proposals that both cater for the client requirements and satisfies internal and external obligations and risk appetite.
- Resolve on a timely basis all client problems/queries to ensure best- in-class customer service. For high demand clients, know the client's drivers that may be impacting service deliverables. Manage the onboarding of new clients and offboarding/fund wind up processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship management or a similar role within the financial services industry (trustee industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines
- Ability to manage projects
- Understanding of the role of a trustee and the finance industry
- Excellent understanding of fund documentation including constituent documents and disclosure documents
- Ability to understand and negotiate (where applicable) legal, contractual documents
- Track record of performance in a busy, commercial, competitive workplace
