Reporting Officer

Role Overview
In this full-time position you will play a key role in managing turnaround times and maintaining high levels of client service, particularly in relation to the superintending and reporting of laboratory results. The role is Monday to Friday and reports directly to the Operations Manager in Gladstone, with regular communication with the Newcastle-based shipping and management teams.
Day to Day
Perform data validation and generate/review reports, particularly for marketing and shipping samples.
Liaise directly with customers to ensure accurate and timely information.
Assist with the dispatch of samples both domestically and internationally.
Prepare work instructions and labels for sampling, preparation, and analysis tasks.
Manage daily and ad-hoc reporting and data validation tasks.
Support laboratory or sample preparation activities when needed, including during staff shortages or when assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Proven ability to daily priorities and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proactive attitude towards safety, quality, and teamwork.
Sound understanding of coal sampling and analytical testing operations.
Previous experience (1–2 years) in a coal analytical or preparation laboratory is advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.
