Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Greencross Kedron team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures
* Provide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized pets
* Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
* Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiography
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage client communications
* Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions
* Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff
* Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
* Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
* High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
* Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
