Remuneration Package
Remuneration package valued at up to $156,******. Base salary ranges from $90,****** to $137,******, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.
School Information
Coonabarabran High School is a comprehensive high school with a Support Unit comprising five classes, located in North West New South Wales. Enrollment: 305 students, approximately 27% identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. The school has a strong focus on quality teaching and a commitment to professional development.
Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with moderate/mild intellectual difficulties, complex additional learning and support needs.
The ability to build positive relationships and engage with all members of the school community, including communicating with parents and staff to support students with diverse disabilities and learning needs.
Classroom management skills and wellbeing practices, capacity to cater for a diverse range of students in managing the complex dynamics of a support classroom.
Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum to promote engagement, learning and independence, to meet the learning and wellbeing needs, goals and interests of students with a disability.
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
