Mindarie Secondary College (SC) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Mindarie SC are seeking Home Economics teachers to become integral members of the Technology and Enterprise learning area. Suitable applicants will ideally participate in collaborative curriculum planning, providing learning programs to students suited to the needs of the school community and modelling exemplary teaching and learning strategies in their delivery. As such, suitable applicants will possess a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, ideally having knowledge of and experience in, a range of instructional strategies and tactics. It is highly desirable for applicants to have Upper School Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and Food Science experience.
Suitable applicants would preferably also be dedicated and highly motivated educators with an excellent knowledge of the Senior School Western Australian Curriculum, be able to deliver content in an engaging manner and be a highly effective team member. As a reflective practitioner, suitable applicants will ideally possess effective data literacy and a capacity to modify their practice to meet identified student needs. The capacity to engage in the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices, including integration of information technology into the curriculum, is preferred. Pastoral care also remains a highly desirable aspect of the role.
Mindarie SC is a purpose built senior college designed to meet the educational needs of young adults completing Years 11 and 12. 14. Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
