Project Engineer Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and project engineering of site projects from concept to completion. Your key performance indicators will include reporting production progress on the site and providing quality assurance and quality control services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate Quality, Environmental and Mining Records for the project;
* Develop short to medium term mine plans for the underground operation, ensuring all key mining physicals are achieved in line with quarterly mine plan objectives;
* Review all aspects of drill and blast design for execution;
* Review all aspects of paste backfill design for execution;
* Ensure mine ventilation is working effectively;
* Provide technical support and quality control of works in accordance with Contract Specification and relevant Statutory Regulations;
* Inspect work at frequent intervals to ensure quality meets stated objectives and required environmental controls are in place;
Requirements:
* Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining) or related field;
* Have completed underground time requirements to enable obtaining of a First Class Mine Managers certificate of Competency or equivalent;
* Minimum 10 years' underground mining experience;
* Hold a valid Driver's License – Class C (and MR for driving bus if required);
* Hold current First Aid & CPR certification;
* Have experience on all mobile equipment for maintenance purposes;
