Storeperson / Kitroom Associate & Courier Driver
This dual-role is vital to ensuring hospitals and healthcare providers receive critical medical devices and supplies, helping create better patient outcomes every single day.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll split your time between being a Kitroom Associate and a Support Driver.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with weekend work required on-call fortnightly on a rotating basis.
As a Storeperson / Kitroom Associate, you will:
Assemble and prepare surgical kits to strict quality and sterile handling standards.
Monitor inventory, conduct stocktakes, and coordinate replenishment.
Maintain SOPs and best practices for safety and quality.
Act as a key point of contact for Townsville operations, escalating issues as required.
As a Support Driver, you will:
Assist with overflow deliveries and airfreight collection from the airport.
Safely load, unload, and transport medical products.
Maintain and present company-provided 2-tonne van to a professional standard.
Follow delivery processes, including proof of delivery and chain-of-custody requirements.
Represent Smartways with professionalism when dealing with healthcare clients.
Who We're Looking For
2–3 years of warehousing experience plus at least 2 years as a courier/delivery driver.
Experience in medical, kitroom, or warehouse environments (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, safety-conscious, and process-driven.
Strong communication skills; comfortable working independently and within a team.
A commitment to excellent client outcomes with an understanding of patient impact.
