Barrington Lodge is a 77 bed Aged Care Centre. Built in 1850, the lodge is rich in history and provides a cosy, comfortable home with mountain and park views. The centre is conveniently located with access to public transport and is only 2 minutes’ drive to the New Town Plaza and local services.
We are looking for Enrolled Nurses on Part time basis to join our innovative and vibrant team of Care Managers, Registered Nurses and carers.
It would be great if you are flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, e.g. morning, afternoon, night, weekends, public holidays.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Enrolled Nurses work in conjunction with the Registered Nurse and are clinical supervisors under the delegation of the Registered Nurse responsible for monitoring the delivery of safe, effective and individualised care to residents and their families (including managing staff and physical resources) and assisting residents to lead an active and meaningful life as independently as possible in keeping with the organisation’s Mission, Vision and Values.
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) works within their scope of practice in the delivery of nursing care. The EN’s provide excellence in care and services across all departments. This care is based on individual assessments and care plans, established procedures and best practice.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, ideally we are looking for:
* An understanding, empathy, appreciation, and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
* A current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) for a minimum of 2 years
* Demonstrated aged care experience, the ability to work as part of a team and promote education and leadership in aged care
* High level verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated knowledge in the care needs of the older person
* Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
* Solid understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards
* Good understanding of Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrated well developed computer and documentation skills
* Understanding and demonstrated commitment to the ‘Person Centred Model of Care’
* Experience with iCare (Healthcare information system)
* National NDIS screening check
