Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse is a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care within the scope of professional LPN practice to patients and families across the lifespan.
As part of the Special Care Home (SCH) unit, this nurse will provide support to the SCH in their regions, ensuring enhanced clinical support to residents through quality onsite resident-centered care and support to staff.
Travel within the province may be required to support vaccination clinics in the SCH or within the incumbent's region for clinical support at an outbreak site.
* Active registration with ANBLPN
* Minimum of three years recent medical/surgical, palliative care and wound care experience in an acute care setting
* Demonstrated education and experience related to medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment
* Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Services and available community services
* Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License and good driving record
* Submit a valid and clean criminal record check
* CPR Level C certification issued in the last 12 months
* Able to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision-making skills
* Maintain good attendance records and be willing to work all shifts assigned
* High regard for confidentiality and excellent work habits
