Overview

Join a forward-thinking, people-focused Council in a work location that offers beaches, rainforest, and relaxed regional living. Cassowary Coast Regional Council is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to support and shape the employee experience across our diverse workforce.


What you'll do

This is an ideal opportunity for a well-rounded HR Generalist with a passion to expand or deepen their skills in a hands-on, practical environment.

* Act as a trusted advisor across all areas of HR, supporting a diverse workforce including both outdoor and indoor staff.
* Deliver end-to-end HR support including workforce planning, performance management, learning & development, and organisational change.
* Opportunity to work closely with operational teams and leadership, embedding people strategies directly into Council functions.
* Provide expert guidance on the interpretation and application of industrial instruments and Council's Certified Agreement.
* Manage matters related to employee conduct, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations in line with procedural fairness principles.
* Support organisational development initiatives such as capability building, culture programs, succession planning and leadership development.


What you'll bring

* Degree in Human Resources or related field, with relevant HR advisory experience.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proven experience using HRIS systems (Technology One / CIAnywhere desirable).
* Working knowledge of industrial relations frameworks and HR best practices.
* Ability to analyse HR data and translate into actionable insights.
* A current Queensland C Class driver's licence.


Compensation

Base pay range: A$103,795.00/yr - A$109,790.00/yr

Relocation assistance: Up to $10,000 available.
