Disability Support Worker (Casual, Geelong and Surf Coast Area)
Havilah Support Services is recruiting experienced Disability Support
Workers to join our growing team across the Greater Geelong and Surf
Coast regions.
We support both paediatric and adult NDIS participants, including
individuals with complex and high-intensity support needs. Some roles
operate across the week with availability required for day, evening, and
weekend shifts.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker with Havilah Support Services, you will
deliver person-centred, respectful, and consistent support to
participants in their homes and within the community.
You will work in line with individual support plans, behaviour support
plans, and organisational procedures, ensuring participants are
supported to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
This role requires professionalism, emotional intelligence, strong
boundaries, and the ability to remain calm and reliable in structured
and sometimes complex care environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support with daily living activities and personal care
· Deliver high-intensity and complex supports where required
· Support participants with community access, appointments, and social activities
· Provide calm, consistent emotional support and reassurance
· Assist with mealtime support, household tasks, and routines
· Follow support plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk assessments
· Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards
· Communicate effectively with families, coordinators, and internal teams
· Uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality, and duty of care
· Actively support participant safety, dignity, and choice
What We're Looking For
· Certificate III or Higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Equivalent
· NDIS Worker Screening Check
· Working With Children Check
· Previous experience in disability or support work
· Strong communication and documentation skills
· Reliable, professional, and person-centred approach
· Ability to maintain clear boundaries and confidentiality
· Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Intake Officer / Community Engagement & Marketing Officer (Part/Full Time, Geelong and Surf Coast Area)
Havilah Support Services is seeking a confident, professional, and
people-focused Intake Officer to support our growth through participant
intake, community engagement, expos, and marketing activities.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in NDIS intake, community
services, sales, marketing, or stakeholder engagement and is
comfortable representing the organisation publicly and building strong
referral relationships. As the Intake Officer, you will be the first point of contact for new participants, families, support coordinators, and referrers. This role requires excellent communication skills, organisation, professionalism, and confidence in stakeholder engagement.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
· Managing participant enquiries and onboarding
· Representing Havilah Support Services at expos, networking events, and community forums by Support marketing initiatives, outreach campaigns, and referral partnerships, and brand visibility
· Manage new participant enquiries and referral by ensuring intake processes are compliant, professional, and person-centred
· Liaise with participants, families, support coordinators, and plan managers
· Assess service suitability and align supports with participant goals
· Maintain accurate intake records.
· Prepare intake summaries and internal handovers to operations teams
· Communicate service capacity clearly and ethically
· Uphold NDIS compliance, confidentiality, and organisational values
What We're Looking For
· Strong understanding of NDIS supports, funding, and referral pathways (highly desirable)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Confident, professional, and approachable presentation style
· Strong organisational and administrative skills
· Ability to build and maintain professional referral relationships
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office / CRM systems
· NDIS Worker Screening Check and Valid driver's licence
