About headspace Centres:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

We have locations across Armstrong Creek and Geelong, VIC.

Role Overview:

The Community Engagement Coordinator/Social Inclusion Coordinator seeks opportunities to reach out to young people and their communities, providing health education, raising mental health literacy and community awareness, and linking people to appropriate services.

You will develop, facilitate and evaluate a range of community events and health and education programs designed to improve mental health literacy and community awareness of challenges faced by young people, increasing early identification and access to services.

You'll work closely with our clinical team to understand our services and advocate for them to young people and the wider community.


Requirements:

* A minimum Diploma qualification in youth work, mental health or a relevant discipline
* Experience in a similar role working with young people
* Experience in planning, developing and delivering high-quality education, training, and community awareness programs and activities
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with diverse stakeholders
* A proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Confidence in using IT, including social media applications and website maintenance
* Excellent verbal communication and written skills, including grant writing experience
* Eligibility for WWCC clearance
* NDIS worker screening clearance
* A current Driver's License
