About the Residential Youth Support Worker RoleAs a Residential Youth Support Worker, you'll be a positive influence and trusted mentor for young people living in our residential homes, empowering them to lead safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Relationships: Establish trust and rapport while acting as a positive role model.
Personalised Support: Provide care tailored to each young person's physical, emotional, and social needs.
Daily Living Assistance: Support daily routines such as hygiene, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks.
Creating Positive Environments: Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
Monitoring & Reporting: Document progress, behaviours, and key updates
Collaboration: Work with families, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
Safety & Wellbeing: Maintain a clean and safe environment in line with WHS standards.
Emotional Support: Provide empathy, stability, and crisis support when required.
Ongoing Learning: Attend training and team meetings for continued professional development.
About the Disability Support Worker RoleAs a Disability Support Worker, you will support individuals with disabilities to live as independently and confidently as possible within their homes and communities.
Your role is to empower clients to build life skills, achieve personal goals, and participate in meaningful daily activities that enhance their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Person-Centred Support: Build positive, trusting relationships while delivering support tailored to each person's individual needs and goals.
Daily Living Assistance: Provide assistance with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, medication, and household tasks.
Community Access: Support clients to attend appointments, social outings, community programs, and recreational activities.
Skill Development: Help clients build independence in areas such as communication, problem-solving, daily living tasks, and social skills.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate support notes, progress updates, and incident reports when required.
What We're Looking ForWe're seeking individuals who are:
Experienced in youth work, community services, disability support, or related fields
Skilled communicators who can connect with and inspire people from diverse backgrounds
Patient, empathetic, and professional—especially in challenging situations
Organised, adaptable, and strong with time management
Flexible and available for a variety of shifts (including evenings, weekends, and overnight)

Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Australian Driver's Licence & comprehensive car insurance (if using personal vehicle)
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module & Hope and Healing Framework(We can assist you in obtaining access to these if needed.)
