About The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a large and dynamic occupational therapy department for the provision of clinical supervision, teaching and co-ordination of educational activities for students on clinical placements. The occupational therapy department takes on average 60 students per year and offers well established and strong programs for students’ induction and education.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate all undergraduate occupational therapy and allied health assistant placements; liaise with relevant universities and registered training organisations.
- Provide direct supervision of occupational therapy students and support, resources and upskilling of staff supervising students.
- Carry a clinical caseload and contribute to administrative tasks, clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and service development.

Where You’ll Be Working
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching hospital with affiliations to the University of NSW, Western Sydney University, the Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research, and the University of Wollongong. It provides an active education program for medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries. Liverpool is home to a diverse population reflected in the hospital workforce and services.

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent and varied experience in clinical student supervision and/or staff supervision
- Understanding of adult learning styles and teaching methods
- Excellent organisational, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills
- High level clinical expertise and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in Occupational Therapy
- Australian C-Class driver’s license (including P1 or P2). If licensed in another state, obtain NSW C class (P1 or P2) within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
