Business Development Manager – Northwest Melbourne & Victoria
We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager for our territory of northwest Melbourne and northwest Victoria, which includes occasional regional travel to Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gisborne, Echuca, Wangaratta and surrounding areas.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the purpose of this role is to maintain and expand our client base within the specified territory, primarily looking after Residential Aged Care Homes, Hospitals, and Pharmacies.
This is an exciting role and would suit a highly motivated individual with exceptional people and sales skills, driven by a desire to improve the lives of others. Clinicians looking to pivot into commercial roles are welcome to apply as we can train you on sales methodology and pair you with a sales mentor for the first 90 days.
About You
Minimum 2 years proven sales and business development/relationship management experience selling clinical consumables, devices, pharmacy goods or OTC products into hospitals, aged care, pharmacy, or allied-health markets.
Someone who thrives on the thrill of the hunt – curious, tenacious, and naturally driven by results.
Experience in working independently, owning your pipeline, and consistently hitting targets.
A proactive approach and critical thinking.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Great time management, planning, organising and negotiation skills.
An active team player that is self-motivated.
Confidence to engage at a senior level.
Ability to operate at a fast pace and adapt to changing market conditions and new competitors.
A strong attention to detail and a desire to succeed.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to undertake overnight regional travel (about 4 to 5 days per quarter).
