Senior Housing Manager Role
This role is a key position within the Housing and Homelessness Services team, where you will play a critical part in delivering housing and homelessness services through Housing Service Centres.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Approve high and very high need social housing applications and transfers, ensuring quality assessments are completed to the highest standard.
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with stakeholders, focusing on improving customer outcomes and processes, while managing formal internal and external complaints and facilitating resolutions.
- Represent the department in appeals and attend the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, providing expert knowledge and advice.
- Supervise team activities, exercising delegation as required, including monitoring performance, workload management, addressing operational issues, and reporting.
- Conduct property condition appraisal inspections and provide advice on maintenance requirements, contributing to portfolio renewal plans and implementation of property developments.
- Regularly work in the field, meeting with customers in their homes, and ensure that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and integrated into day-to-day operations.
