About The Role
Band 4 - base salary from $109,107 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
Are you passionate about keeping business-critical systems running smoothly? Join TasNetworks as an Application Support Engineer and play a key role in delivering reliable, secure and innovative technology solutions that support Tasmania's energy future.
As an Application Support Engineer, you will deliver specialized technical support and oversee the administration of various sophisticated enterprise applications. Your responsibilities will include managing incidents and resolving problems, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing proactive solutions to prevent future issues. You will also ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols and service standards while actively participating in system upgrades and enhancements. Your contributions will play a vital role in optimizing our operational performance and elevating the quality of service we provide to our customers. You'll also support continuous improvement by maintaining documentation and helping implement innovative solutions that align with TasNetworks' strategic direction.
This role includes participation in an on-call roster, providing critical after-hours support when needed, and can be based at any of our major depots across Tasmania.
About You
You're a technically capable and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have experience working with enterprise systems and bring strong analytical and communication skills. You're also proactive, solutions-focused, and able to juggle competing priorities with confidence.
You'll Also Bring
* Demonstrated experience supporting complex IT systems in a business-critical environment
* Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and associated enterprise technologies (desirable)
* ITIL training or certification
* Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities
* Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver results
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
