The Role
The Home Economics Assistant supports the Department of Education's main objective of teaching and learning of students by supporting the teacher at classroom level and enabling the delivery of high‑quality, student‑focused learning programmes.
This dynamic, hands‑on role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in home economics, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to student wellbeing and success. The successful applicant will assist in the delivery of planned education programmes, prepare and maintain the learning environment, and maintain equipment, materials, and resources for use in classes, displays, and demonstrations.
The person will clean and safely store items after classes and activities, assist with the general care and well‑being of students, and work effectively within a team, demonstrating initiative and organisational skills.
