Your new role
As an ICT Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of assigned ICT projects within a structured PMO environment. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits while ensuring alignment to established governance and compliance frameworks.
You will work closely with technical specialists, business stakeholders and leadership groups to define project deliverables, negotiate resource requirements, and support decision-making through clear documentation and reporting. This includes developing project plans, preparing business requirements, running monthly reporting cycles, managing change processes, and contributing to governance forums such as project boards and architecture review committees.
You will also be responsible for project artefacts, stakeholder communications, and ensuring all activities adhere to government frameworks, security policies, and legislative obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:
* An active NV1 security clearance (mandatory for consideration).
* Minimum 5 years' experience delivering ICT projects of varying size and complexity.
* Strong experience working within complex ICT environments-ideally within Federal Government or National Security related settings.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship building skills.
* Highly developed written communication capabilities, including project documentation, reports and persuasive business writing.
* Industry recognised project management certification (PRINCE2, PMBOK or equivalent)
* Experience delivering secure government systems or working within national security domains. (desirable)
* Understanding of government compliance frameworks such as the PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, Archives Act, Privacy Act, PGPA Act, and Commonwealth Procurement Rules. (desirable)
* Exposure to global ICT environments or large enterprise projects. (desirable)
* Experience in related disciplines such as business analysis, change management, testing, applications or infrastructure delivery. (desirable)
