About the Role:
We are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for an IT Supervisor at New Directions Australia, based in our Sydney Head Office. This dynamic and challenging role will be key in supporting our organisation's IT infrastructure, while providing essential IT assistance across our operations.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
* Technical and Desktop Support: Providing technical support and training to help employees use IT resources effectively.
* System Management: Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of IT systems, including both hardware and software.
* Server Management on AWS and Vultr
* Security Management: Ensuring data security, network access, and backup systems to protect organisational information.
* System Audits: Conducting regular audits of IT systems to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaboration: Working with other departments to align IT strategies with organisational goals.
* ERP Liaison and Web Designer: Coordinating with 3rd parties for our ERP, Magento and Epages
* Improving our current infrastructure status
* Build, configure and distribute a standard operation environment.
* Creation of Standard Operating procedures, asset management register and warranty.
* Implement Cloudflare integrations for web applications to enhance performance, availability, and security
* Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and servers.
* Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless systems.
* Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested.
* Application Management of version upgrades, user management etc (Moodle, Wordpress, Sendy, and other enterprise tools)
We are seeking an individual who has the following skills and experience:
* A relevant tertiary level qualification or equivalent demonstrated work experience
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Printer management experience.
* Office 365 Management experience.
* Domain/DNS Management experience.
* Knowledge in AWS, Cloudflare, Vultr, Epages, Magento, SAP and Shopify
* Comprehensive understanding of I.T. fundamentals including email and file sharing.
* Experience with hardware faults including printer issues and router issues.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building and maintaining quality relationships with both internal and external stakeholders of the business.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills.
* Hands-on experience with server virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
