SOUS CHEF – ITALIAN CUISINE
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Sous Chef to join the dynamic team at cucinetta' in Woolwich, NSW. As a full-time Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team as we launch an exciting new Italian concept built on tradition, technique, and fire.
This role suits a chef who is strong in Italian cooking, confident with fresh pasta, understands Meats and Seafood and a strong understanding on products and Italian desserts, has hands-on experience with wood-fired ovens and char grills.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head Chef and owner, you will be involved in:
* Fresh pasta production (filled, extruded, and hand-rolled)
* Execution of classic Italian desserts (and seasonal variations)
* Cooking with wood-fired oven and char grill
* Menu development and refinement
* Kitchen leadership, training, and service execution
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Sous Chef looking to make that step
* Strong background in Italian cuisine only
* Proven experience with fresh pasta making
* Knowledge of traditional Italian desserts
* Experience working with wood oven and char grill
* Leadership skills and a calm, organised approach
* High standards for quality, consistency, and cleanliness
