Key Responsibilities
The Planner plays a vital role in delivering quarterly targets by allocating, scheduling and issuing tasks to suppliers.
This involves accepting jobs and allocating them to the necessary suppliers, as well as scheduling these works to be completed.
Liaising with clients in regards to queries surrounding jobs is also an essential part of this role.
Ensuring that delivery forecasts and documents are kept up to date daily is crucial for success in this position.
Liaising with other departments within the organisation to discuss additional requirements such as Traffic Management, Commercial and Streetworks teams is also required.
Assisting with the closure of jobs once works have been completed is another key responsibility.
Requirements
* Computer literate – experience of working with Microsoft Office tools is essential.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written are necessary.
* Strong administration and organisational skills are needed.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage business expectations is crucial.
