An exciting temporary opportunity exists for an experienced mental health clinician and leader to work in the role of Clinical Manager for the State-wide Mental Health Telephone Access Line (SMHTAL). Supported by the Community Service Manager, to provide short-term mental health interventions to people experiencing acute episodes of mental health distress or illness.
The Clinical Manager will provide leadership, guidance, supervision and line management of the multidisciplinary community mental health team. The role requires a high degree of both clinical and professional judgement to navigate critical challenges with minimal direction.

Position Requirements:
* Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Psychologist with recognised 4 year degree in Psychology and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) along with completion of 12 months at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologists or with Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.
* Evidence of extensive clinical experience in mental health with the ability to perform complex and critical clinical work with a high level of professional knowledge and judgement.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills including the ability to manage performance, lead change, and provide high level guidance and advice on service matters.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to engage, enable and manage a team.
* Understanding of and commitment to innovative service delivery, harm minimisation and practice development.
* High level computer literacy and capacity to use health information systems.
* Proven ability to foster and maintain a positive workplace culture.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence and a willingness to travel to meet job requirements e within mental health.
