Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of finance related services including budget planning, performance reporting, financial system maintenance, and internal control compliance activities.
The Finance Officer will provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on budgetary and financial management matters, assist in developing and maintaining strong and constructive relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute toward the preparation of management reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in effectively analysing and reporting on large volumes of data, financial customer service skills, and experience in a dynamic and busy environment with conflicting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

* Budget Planning: Develop and maintain accurate budgets, ensuring timely submission to stakeholders.
* Performance Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
* Financial System Maintenance: Ensure that all financial systems are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulations.
* Internal Control Compliance: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
* Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
* Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
* Reporting and Analysis: Analyse and interpret complex financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a government agency.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* High level of organisational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
