We are seeking a seasoned executive to join the C-suite of a highly respected superannuation fund serving a unique member base. This is a critical opportunity for a commercially astute professional to lead and uplift risk, legal, and compliance functions during a period of evolution and growth.
About the Role
As Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (CRCO), you will:
Oversee and integrate enterprise-wide risk, legal, and compliance functions to support strategic objectives.Act as a key executive leader reporting to the CEO and advising the Board, Risk Committee, and regulators.Serve as an accountable person under the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR).Lead a multi-disciplinary team including senior leaders across risk management, compliance, internal review, legal, and business resilience.Key Responsibilities
Drive the maturity and alignment of risk frameworks, legal oversight, and compliance systems.Promote an ethical, compliant, and high-performing organisational culture.Act as a strategic advisor on legal and regulatory change and its business impact.Ensure effective engagement with ASIC, APRA, and other government stakeholders.Contribute to and align with broader corporate strategy, governance practices, and member-focused objectives.About You
You are a respected executive with:
Extensive leadership experience in financial services, with a strong preference for candidates with superannuation sector experience.A proven track record of building and leading Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions is highly desirable.Deep technical expertise across enterprise risk management, compliance obligations, and regulatory affairs.Proven ability to influence Boards, regulators, and senior internal stakeholders.Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Law, Finance, or Governance. A legal qualification and/or admission to practice is desirable.Why Join?
