About The Client
Our client is the specialist wealth management arm of one of Australia's largest privately owned financial services companies, known for delivering expert asset management, portfolio strategy, and wealth advisory services that empower clients to achieve their financial goals with confidence.
About The Role
This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate closely with Private Wealth Advisers, external partners, and internal teams. You will play a critical role in accelerating growth, streamlining operations, and elevating the overall client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver professional financial and investment guidance, covering areas such as asset allocation, investment structures, estate planning, superannuation, and retirement planning.
* Perform comprehensive client needs assessments to develop well-rounded and forward-looking financial strategies.
* Manage client relationships proactively, conducting regular reviews, making strategic adjustments, and ensuring smooth implementation of recommendations.
* Recognise when clients require additional services and refer them to appropriate specialists, including insurance and lending experts.
* Work closely with Private Wealth Advisers to identify, nurture, and convert new client opportunities.
* Build and deepen relationships with external professional partners, including accountants, solicitors, and mortgage brokers, to strengthen referral channels and enhance client outcomes.
* Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and support to clients.
* Partner with Associate Advisers to ensure smooth implementation of client strategies, including the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs) and supporting documentation.
* Coordinate with key external service providers to improve efficiency across administrative and operational workflows.
* Uphold strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Opt-in and IMA reviews, while supporting internal audit activities.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
* Holds a degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, Economics, or a related field (required).
* Registered as a Financial Adviser with ASIC prior to 31 December 2019.
* Have completed FASEA education requirements.
* Possess strong technical expertise in financial planning strategies, including investment structures, taxation, estate planning, and superannuation.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of risk management principles and insurance solutions.
* Capable of evaluating complex client circumstances and designing innovative, tailored financial strategies.
* CFP (Certified Financial Planner) qualification is strongly preferred.
* Additional certifications, such as SSA (Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist), are considered advantageous.
* Proficient in financial planning software such as Xplan and IRESS, along with the Microsoft Office Suite.
