The Team
The Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) Physiotherapist works within the Community Physiotherapy team of the Tasmanian Health Service. It delivers accessible, evidence‐based physiotherapy services to support the health, function and independence of people across the community, including those with chronic conditions, frailty, and focusing on hospital avoidance interventions. The team works across community clinics and clients' homes to assess, plan and implement individualized treatment programmes, provide education and self‐management strategies, and support carers and families. ComRRS physiotherapists collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues – nursing, medical, social work and occupational therapy – to ensure coordinated, person‐centred care that aligns with broader DoH service priorities, safety and quality frameworks, and equity of access. Through clinical leadership, service development and quality improvement activities, the team contributes to strengthening community‐based care, reducing hospital demand and improving health outcomes for Tasmanian communities.
