Vocational Partnerships Group (VPG) is a local not-for-profit supporting children and young people across the Atherton Tablelands for over 25 years.
We're looking for a Child & Youth Wellbeing Officer to support children and young people to feel safe, connected and supported — both at school and in the community.
The role, simply
You'll work across:
School-based wellbeing support (Prep–Year 10): Help children build skills for learning, positive behaviour, and social relationships through programs, one-on-one support, and family engagement.
Youth wellbeing services (ages 12–21): Support young people across education, mental health & wellbeing, life skills, social inclusion, relationships, and transitions to independence.
Your work will include:
Supporting wellbeing, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
Delivering social skills and group wellbeing activities
Providing one-on-one support and practical guidance
Connecting families and young people to the right supports
Building strong, positive relationships
This role could be for you if you:
Enjoy working with children and young people
Are calm, empathetic and comfortable with big feelings
Take a strengths-based, practical approach
Communicate well and build trust easily
Are organised, flexible and community-minded
What you'll need
A relevant qualification (completed or underway) in education, youth or human services
Experience supporting children or young people
Working with Children Blue Card
QLD Driver's Licence
